Optace 2 m Fibre Patch Cord
The Optace 2 m Fibre Patch Cord is the general-purpose length for fibre patching in a rack. Two metres reaches comfortably between an optical distribution frame and a switch several rack units away, through vertical or horizontal cable management, or between adjacent cabinets, which makes it the length most installers keep in quantity. Each cord is factory terminated, polished and loss tested before despatch.
Cords are available in single-mode fibre to ITU-T G.652D and in 50/125 micron multimode, simplex or duplex, with SC, LC, FC or ST connectors in UPC or APC polish, including hybrid cords with a different connector at each end. SC connectors conform to IEC 61754-4. Ferrules are zirconia ceramic, 2.5 mm on SC, FC and ST and 1.25 mm on LC, with 2.0 mm or 3.0 mm jackets in PVC or LSZH. Typical insertion loss is 0.3 dB or less with return loss of 50 dB or better on UPC and 60 dB or better on APC, and jacket colours follow the TIA-598 convention of yellow for single-mode, orange for OM2 and aqua for OM3 and OM4.
