Optace 1 m Fibre Patch Cord
The Optace 1 m Fibre Patch Cord is a short factory-terminated jumper for connections inside a single rack: optical distribution frame to switch, patch panel to media converter, transceiver to adapter panel, and OLT to splitter feeder in a PON cabinet. One metre keeps intra-rack patching tidy without the coils of slack that longer cords leave behind, and every cord is polished and interferometrically tested before despatch.
Cords are available in single-mode fibre to ITU-T G.652D and in 50/125 micron multimode, in simplex or duplex configuration, with SC, LC, FC or ST connectors and UPC or APC polish, including hybrid cords with different connectors at each end. SC connectors conform to IEC 61754-4. Ferrules are zirconia ceramic, 2.5 mm on SC, FC and ST and 1.25 mm on LC, and jackets are 2.0 mm or 3.0 mm in PVC or LSZH. Typical insertion loss is 0.3 dB or less with return loss of 50 dB or better on UPC and 60 dB or better on APC, and jacket colours follow TIA-598 convention: yellow for single-mode, orange for OM2 and aqua for OM3 and OM4.
