Netgate 6100 MAX pfSense Plus Security Gateway
The Netgate 6100 MAX is a purpose-built security gateway that ships with pfSense Plus software preinstalled. A quad-core 2.2 GHz Intel Atom C3558 processor with AES-NI and Intel QuickAssist Technology handles encryption in hardware, paired in the MAX configuration with 8 GB of DDR4 memory and a 128 GB NVMe M.2 SSD. Eight flexible WAN/LAN interfaces cover a wide range of edge designs: two 10 Gbps SFP+ ports, two 1 Gbps auto-detect combo ports (RJ-45 or SFP) and four 2.5 Gbps RJ-45 ports.
Measured performance reaches 18.50 Gbps of Layer 3 forwarding, 9.93 Gbps of firewall throughput with 10,000 ACLs and 1.77 Gbps of IPsec VPN throughput using AES-GCM-128 with QAT offload, while supporting up to four million active connections. pfSense Plus provides stateful firewalling, IPsec and WireGuard VPN, multi-WAN load balancing and failover, traffic shaping, captive portal, high availability and detailed reporting. The desktop chassis is passively cooled for silent operation, and expansion is available through one Mini-PCIe slot and two M.2 Key-B slots. Certifications include FCC Class B, CE, CB, UL, RoHS, RCM, UKCA and NDAA compliance.
