The Huawei eKitEngine S620-16X8YZ is an enhanced, fully managed 10GE core switch for small and medium-sized business networks. It provides 16 x GE/2.5GE/10GE SFP+ ports and 8 x GE/2.5GE/10GE/25GE SFP28 ports, all multi-rate, plus one reserved expansion slot, delivering 1120 Gbit/s of switching capacity and an 833 Mpps forwarding rate.
Built on a high-speed programmable Ethernet processor, the S620-16X8YZ supports user-defined forwarding behaviour and open interfaces alongside conventional switching. It runs full IPv4 and IPv6 dynamic routing (RIP, OSPF, IS-IS, BGP, RIPng, OSPFv3, IS-ISv6, BGP4+), PIM multicast, 4K VLANs with QinQ, and a 64K MAC table. Reliability comes from iStack stacking, M-LAG, VRRP with BFD, LACP inter-device aggregation, Smart Link, Ethernet OAM and ERPS G.8032, while security spans NAC, 802.1X and MAC authentication, MACsec, RADIUS and HWTACACS, and DoS attack defence. Redundant 180 W/600 W AC and 240 W/400 W DC power modules, Native-IP IFIT telemetry and management via the HUAWEI eKit App, SNC, CLI, web and SNMPv1/v2/v3 complete the package.
