The Huawei eKitEngine S530-24ST4XE is an enhanced, fully managed Layer 3 switch designed to serve as a core switch on a small campus or an aggregation switch on a larger network. It provides 24 x GE SFP ports - eight of which are 10/100/1000BASE-T combo ports - plus 4 x 10GE SFP+ uplinks and 2 x 10GE dedicated stack ports, with 168 Gbit/s of switching capacity and a 125 Mpps forwarding rate.
Because the stack ports are dedicated, iStack stacking consumes no service port bandwidth and requires no additional stack card. Full Layer 3 routing covers OSPF, OSPFv3, IS-IS, IS-ISv6, BGP, BGP4+, RIP, RIPng, VRRP and ECMP, with PIM SM/DM/SSM multicast, 4K VLANs and a 32K MAC table. Reliability features include Smart Link, SEP, ERPS G.8032, STP/RSTP/MSTP and Ethernet OAM, while security spans 802.1X, MAC and portal authentication, DHCP snooping, IP-MAC-port-VLAN binding, and RADIUS, HWTACACS and NAC. Pluggable 80 W or 180 W AC and 240 W DC power modules support 1+1 redundancy, and the switch is managed from the HUAWEI eKit App, SNC, web, CLI or SNMPv1/v2c/v3.
