The Huawei eKitEngine S310S-8P4JX is a Layer 3 managed switch that packs an unusually rich uplink set into a compact 1U chassis. It provides 8 x 10/100/1000BASE-T PoE+ access ports plus four optical uplinks - 2 x 2.5GE SFP and 2 x 10GE SFP+ - with 66 Gbit/s of switching capacity and a 49 Mpps forwarding rate.
The differentiated uplinks let a small site connect to both a multi-gigabit distribution layer and a 10G core or backup path from one device, while the 128 W PoE budget powers access points, cameras and phones. Layer 3 capability includes static routing, policy-based routing, DHCP server and relay, and up to 256 FIBv4 entries, alongside 4K VLANs, a 16K MAC table, ERPS G.8032 ring protection, DHCP snooping, IP Source Guard, port security, ARP security and AAA authentication. It is completely fanless and noise-free, managed from the HUAWEI eKit App, eKit SNC cloud or a local web interface over HTTPS, and mounts on a desk, wall or rack with the supplied brackets.
