The Huawei eKitEngine AR180 Plus is the metal-chassis variant of Huawei's enterprise-grade Wi-Fi 7 router for small and micro networks. Dual-band Wi-Fi 7 with Multi-Link Operation, 160 MHz channels and 4096-QAM delivers up to 3600 Mbps of concurrent throughput through four external smart antennas that dynamically adjust their angles to suit the site.
It carries the same port layout as the standard AR180 - one 2.5GE LAN/WAN interchangeable port, one fixed GE LAN port and three GE LAN/WAN interchangeable ports - with GE1 doubling as a dedicated Turbo acceleration port for prioritised traffic. The AR180 Plus raises the IPSec VPN tunnel count to 12, making it the better fit where a site terminates several branch or partner tunnels, and its black metal upper surface aids heat dissipation and durability. Smart Mesh connects up to eight devices with 20 m automatic discovery, application control recognises more than 500 applications for blocking, prioritisation or bandwidth capping, and management runs through the HUAWEI eKit App, the eKit cloud platform or EasyWeb with social, SMS and email portal authentication.
