The Ku-band is one of the major technologies used today for high-speed satellite Internet. It has the capability to cover an entire continent with a single beam – thus providing a wide and reliable coverage.
The range of frequencies in which the Ka band operates are those between 12 GHz and 18 GHz. As a result of the lower frequency, the Ku-band is less susceptible to interference from adverse weather.
Additionally, the power of uplinks and downlinks can be increased as needed.
